As global head of Fidante Partners, Cathy leads the firm's international expansion, and is responsible for its relationships with specialist asset management firms. Since joining Fidante Partners in 2011, Cathy has been instrumental in building the business into Australia's fastest growing multi-boutique asset management company.
Prior to this, Cathy was a managing director and chief operating officer, and responsible for global client relations and marketing, in the New York office of RREEF, the real estate and alternative asset management division of Deutsche Bank. During her five years there, Cathy managed global product development and marketing activities for the firm, as well as the business management aspects of the global sales and distribution for a wide range of products and asset classes. Cathy has also spent two years at Deutsche Bank in Australia, and has held senior product and marketing roles at Macquarie Bank, Colonial First State and BT Funds Management.
Cathy holds a Bachelor of Business (Econ) Honours degree from the Queensland University of Technology, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Robin began his City career as a bond trader in 1984, after which he worked at Goldman Sachs, BZW and HSBC responsible for European Government Bond trading. Following HSBC, Robin worked at KBC Bank where he had responsibility for the management of interest rate, foreign exchange and credit risk. In 2000 Robin founded Dexion Capital and developed the company into a specialist alternatives business which was acquired by Fidante Partners in July 2015.
Tom joined Fidante Partners Europe Limited in January 2012 as Head of Research. As well as advising and researching new products, the Research Team produces sell-side research on the full breadth of the listed alternative investment companies universe including hedge funds, private equity, infrastructure, debt funds and property. Tom joined from JP Morgan Cazenove, where he was a senior research analyst and whose research was repeatedly ranked number one in the Extel surveys. Tom previously worked as a government economist at the Department of Trade & Industry and the Food Standards Agency. Tom was educated at Merton College, Oxford and is a CFA charterholder.
Justin joined Fidante Partners Europe Limited in 2006 and is responsible for selling to UK accounts and also for managing the distribution of our product offering. Justin has 15 years experience in financial markets and private banking. He began his career as Group Legal Counsel at Coutts in Zurich and then worked at UBS and ING in both London and Zurich focusing on client relationship management and business development. Justin was educated at London University and qualified as a barrister.
Roy started his career in 1983 with EF Hutton as a commodities broker. In 1986 he joined Robert Fleming and was a founder member of the Global Derivatives Group. Roy spent five years in Hong Kong as Head of Equity Derivatives trading and returned to London to manage Equity Derivative Risk globally for Robert Fleming. In 1999 he became Group Head of Market Risk where he developed and introduced market risk appetite allowing greater delegation of risk to the business areas. In 2002 he joined the Investment Trust Team at JPMorgan. Roy joined Fidante Partners Europe Limited in 2009 to help build and run the Market Making business.
Robert joined the corporate finance department of Fidante Partners Europe Limited in January 2012. He started in the City in 1999, spending six years as a product developer in the closed end fund department at JP Morgan Asset Management and its predecessor, Fleming Asset Management. Robert moved to New Star Asset Management in 2006 where he performed a similar role, with a particular focus on alternative investment funds. In 2008, Robert transferred to the sell-side, joining the investment funds business at Winterflood Securities, where he became a director in the corporate finance department. He has extensive experience from the buy-side and the sell-side of complex fund raisings and advisory mandates. Robert studied maths and philosophy at King’s College London and is a CFA charterholder.
